k•d•m @ Electronica 2022

kdm semi consulting (k•d•m) will be present at this year's Electronica in Munich, the world's leading trade fair and conference for electronics.

I am looking forward to meeting many business friends after the long pandemic break to inform you about my current consulting activities and to present you the latest status of k•d•m's software products: Shibui-IT™ Business Intelligence & Shibui-IT™ Opportunity Tracking Tool (SOT²).

Just send me a PN

  • to my email address klaus@kdmsemiconsulting.com or

  • to my German Cell# +49 1520 6377817

k•d•m is very happy to announce that three of its advisory clients:

  • Solidstate.ai

  • Blumind.ai and

  • StarIC

have been granted a speaker slot during this year's Electronica.

We would like to invite you to attend the following presentations:

Abstract:
Manufacturing at scale has always relied on data analytics in combination with the manufacturing engineer’s intuition borne out of many years, if not decades, of experience. As the complexity of manufacturing processes increases data analytical techniques and software tools have also increased in complexity. Now, just like in the past, manufacturing has continued the trend of complexity. New data analytical techniques such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) can enable engineers to overcome the complexity. A general definition of AI/ML is given followed by how to best use these algorithms and finally limitations of these algorithms and their solutions.

Abstract:
Implementing machine learning at the edge creates challenges related to power, performance, thermals, privacy, reliability, and cost. This session will introduce Blumind’s analog compute architecture, an analog compute technology that delivers microwatt power, microsecond latency and low cost while directly interfacing with analog sensors in our inherently analog world. BluMind will also discuss new use cases that will be activated with this technology.

Abstract:
Companies are more and more needing to add flavor to their designs with custom silicon. The demand is being driven by the need to

  1. Differentiate solutions from the competition,

  2. Provide more control over supply chain,

  3. Design requirements advancing so fast that off-the-shelf components don’t exist to meet the specifications.

StarIC will discuss how analog design is a key gating part of the semiconductor design process and that finding the right resources to break the bottleneck is one of the keys to sustained growth in semiconductor design.
